Welsh Saints on the Mormon Trail - The Story of the Nineteenth-Century Welsh Emigrants to Salt Lake City


The story of the Welsh who emigrated to north America in pursuit of the Mormons. Between 1847 and 1869, some 4,500 Welsh people crossed the Great Plains and the Rockies mountains in carts and oxen. The Indian wars, the American Civil War, Buffalo Bill, Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane and Crazy Horse all feature in their story.
