Welsh for Parents - A Learner's Handbook
This is a unique guidebook by the popular course author Welsh for Parents, aimed at parents, grandparents of children in Welsh-medium schools.
The intention is that the handbook will be kept, not on the bookshelf but on the kitchen table so that the examples presented will be of daily help and support as the whole family learns Welsh together.
The handbook is aimed at parents and grandparents who have children in Welsh medium schools. It is intended that it will be kept off the bookshelf and on the kitchen table so that the examples it contains will be helpful on a daily basis.
It is a very practical book full of guidance on how to do things eg write birthday cards / party invitations / letters to school / phone the school to explain absence.
It follows the color coding of New Lingo magazine for learners to help them work out which level would be best - entry / foundation / mid-grade.
As a learner, parent and teacher herself Lisa Jones felt that some books for learners were full of old examples that were out of date.
