Dros Gyfiawnder a Rhyddid: Y Cambrian Guards, Caethwasiaeth a Rhyfel Cartref America

The history of a particular Welsh speaking community during the American Civil War. It focuses in a narrative way on the men in the army, but it also depicts the relationship between those Welsh soldiers and the community at home. At least 70 of the 22nd Wisconsin Infantry Regiment spoke Welsh - some were recent immigrants from Wales and had been born in America and raised in Welsh-speaking households there.
